An example...when I was younger and still at home, I heard my mother laughing in the kitchen. I went in to find out what was so funny. Apparently after having a couple of bowls of cereal, I put the milk in the pantry and the frosted flakes in the fridge. Stuff like that happened to me my entire life.
So is the fact that those kind of things are happening more frequently (I think, I really can't remember) a symptom of having Parkinson's or just getting old. Who knows. Not everybody that gets Parkinson's ends up with dementia, according to what I've read. I do know that exercising both body and mind are supposed to help stave off dementia, if you're one of the ones that drew the short straw on that one. So...
I'm fortunate enough to have my property line butt right up to a state park with 22 miles of trails. Since I don't drive anymore (See my "Learning to Swerve" page), I can't go to the gym anymore. Which reminds me, I keep forgetting to cancel the membership! Maybe later. And since I have all those trails right next door, I've decided that every day, weather permitting, I'm going to set the alarm on my phone for 1 hour, then start walking away. When the alarm goes off, I'll reset it, turn around, and start walking back. Maybe I should start leaving bread crumbs.
I enjoy the walk. I always take along my Taurus Judge, with 5 chambers loaded with .410 number 4 buckshot. Who knows...maybe I'll run into a coyote with rabies looking like it wants to attack me. The way I figure, if a coyote is close enough (meaning within range) and stationary, it must have rabies. Haven't seen one yet, but man oh man, I'm keeping my eyes open. Safety first!
Alrighty then.
